Notice of Road Closings in Louisa County (Posted 7/27/10)
Route 652, Kentucky Springs Road, will be closed on August 3, 2010 for the replacement of the railroad crossing located approximately 0.1 miles west of Route 700, Johnson Road from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
Route 618, Fredericks Hall Road, will be closed on August 5, 2010, for the replacement of the railroad crossing located approximately 0.2 miles east of Route 700, Johnson Road. The road will be closed from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

Louisa County’s Board Votes to Move Forward With James River Water Project (posted 2/3/09)
The Louisa County Board of Supervisors continued the plan to bring municipal water from the James River under a joint authority composed of Louisa and Fluvanna County at the Board of Supervisor’s meeting on February 2, 2009. The Board took a major step forward in adopting a resolution authorizing County Administrator Dale G. Mullen to advertise the establishment of the James River Water Authority for public hearing on April 6, 2009, as required by Virginia law.
